About
My name is Nicholas Fish. I am a researcher and student interested in the intersection of neuroscience, philosophy of mind, and medicine. I assist in both behavioral neuroscience as well as data analysis of physiological data at Chapman University and UC Irvine respectively. I intend to pursue an MD/PhD education to study how to clinically treat neurologic disorders, while studying consciousness at the quantifiable, and phenomenological level..
I enjoy reading. Some of my favorites are David Foster Wallace, Simone de Beauvoir, Judith Butler, Jack Kerouac, Oliver Sacks, Herman Hesse, Michel Foucault, and more. I also really enjoy nature. I enjoy my backyard, and my desk, and spending time with my loved ones. I also do a lot of nothing sometimes.
With this blog I hope to share my thoughts, academic opinions, as well as organize my thoughts for myself in essay format. I also hope to document and share my journey towards grad school on the blog section, and I have compiled some research and articles by others that I find interesting or worth looking into in a separate page as well. Please enjoy!
This is my cat, Wallace
